1. Who We Are
WeedFree is developed by Kraft Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how WeedFree ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use the WeedFree mobile application(s) ("the App").

2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and we cannot access it:
- Your quit date and time
- Daily check-in entries (mood, craving intensity, notes)
- Dream journal entries and tags
- Streak and achievement data
- Your personal motivations and goals
- AI coach conversation history (the cached message log displayed in the app)
Deleting the app permanently deletes all of this data from your device. There is no cloud backup or sync at this time.
Note on AI Coach messages: When you send a message to the AI coach, the content of that message is transmitted to our secure AI proxy server and then to Anthropic (the AI provider) solely to generate a response. This transmission is encrypted in transit. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. Your messages are not stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to return a response.
3. Data We Collect
We use the following third-party services that collect limited, anonymous data to help us improve the app and manage subscriptions:
- Mixpanel — Anonymous product analytics. We collect interaction events (e.g., screens visited, features used) to understand how users engage with the app. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
- RevenueCat — Subscription management. RevenueCat collects an anonymous device identifier and your purchase history to manage your WeedFree Pro subscription. RevenueCat does not receive any health or recovery data.
- Superwall — Paywall analytics. Superwall collects anonymous data about paywall interactions to help us optimize our subscription offer. No personal data is transmitted.
- Anthropic — AI response generation. When you use the AI coach, message content is relayed through our proxy to Anthropic's API to generate responses. See Section 2 for details.
We process this data under our legitimate interest in improving the app experience and under our contractual obligation to manage your subscription.
4. How We Use This Data
Anonymous analytics and service data collected through our third-party providers is used exclusively for:
- Service improvement — understanding which features are most valuable and identifying areas for improvement
- Subscription management — verifying and managing your WeedFree Pro subscription entitlements
- Paywall optimization — understanding how users interact with our subscription offer to refine our pricing and presentation
- AI responses — generating personalised coaching responses in the AI coach feature
We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
5. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, access, or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Your physical location or GPS data
- Your contacts or address book
- Photos or camera access
- Apple Health or HealthKit data
- The content of your dream journal or check-in notes
6. Third-Party Advertising
WeedFree contains no advertisements. We do not share any data with advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing platforms. Your recovery journey is not monetized through advertising.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except as described in Section 3 (anonymous analytics and AI response generation via our service providers). Our third-party service providers are contractually obligated to use data only for the purpose of providing services to us.
8. Children's Privacy
WeedFree is a cannabis cessation support app intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at kraftlaboratories@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information.
9. Data Security & Retention
Because your recovery data is stored locally on your device, your security is protected by your device's own security measures, including your passcode, Face ID, and Touch ID.
Anonymous analytics data and AI coach messages transmitted to our service providers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.
Analytics data is retained per our service providers' standard retention policies (typically 90 days to 2 years). You may contact us at kraftlaboratories@gmail.com to request earlier deletion of any data associated with your anonymous device identifier.
In the event of a data breach affecting our service providers, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.
10. Your Rights
Because all personal recovery data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. To permanently delete all your data, simply delete the WeedFree app from your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding the anonymous data processed by our service providers. These may include:
- Right of access — request a copy of data held about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to restriction — request that we limit how we process your data
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to opt out of analytics — you may request opt-out of anonymous analytics by contacting us, or by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" in your device's privacy settings

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you specific rights:
- Right to know — you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
- Right to delete — you have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected
- Right to opt out of sale — We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, share for cross-context behavioral advertising, or otherwise monetize your personal data
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

12. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (Mixpanel, RevenueCat, Superwall, and Anthropic) are based in the United States. If you use WeedFree from outside the United States, anonymous analytics data and AI coach messages may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
These transfers are conducted under our service providers' standard contractual protections and data processing agreements, which are designed to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable privacy laws including the GDPR.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
